Who is JManuel Méndez /Mendo ?

The beginnings are in childhood, in early childhood, in the company of a box of English watercolors, a long, prostrating illness and some watercolor postcards of the city of Paris, frenetic self-study, adventures of illustrator, occasional poster artist and drawing as recurrent therapy in favor of delicate health. Faculty of History, Study of the Painter Richard Perez, Faculty of Fine Arts, collaborator of the Painter Alejandro Quincoces, lecturer, masterclassist and founder of the AA project on the internet with more than 11,000 members. Meanwhile exhibitions in prestigious state galleries, National Prize for Drawing, Painting and Watercolor .. Exhibitions in Moscow, Chile, Mexico, Finland, Indonesia. Work distributed by foundations, county councils, municipalities and private collections from the US to Moscow.

Eclectic, curious painter, lover of pictorial alchemy and expressionism, at the cost of any price, without falling into easy effect. Fundamentally landscaped, up to the landscape marrow: Ria, that of Bilbao as epicenter and from this seizure the purest nature, that of its origins. Trees and forest occupy him in the last decade with two recent thematic exhibitions, and a next one dedicated to the Sierra de Urbasa.
